Samuel Monnier
"My works are instances of algorithmic
art. They are the product of algorithms
("sets of rules") executed by a
computer. Starting from the coordinates
of a pixel in the image, the algorithm
performs computations and logical
operations to produce a color. When
applied to a square array of pixels, it
creates a digital image.
"Algorithms allow to draw patterns so
complex that they would be impossible
to imagine, let alone realize, by a
bare human mind. Unfortunately, the
wealth of details characterizing these
works is barely noticeable on such low
resolution images. Visit my website for
more information and zoomable pictures."
